The full details of the pneumatic control valve

by Leena

In any Engineering and manufacturing process, you will always come across the pneumatic control valve as an important part of the production. The pneumatic control valve is described as a device used in the control of the flow of air present in a pneumatic system.

It is usually not difficult to find pneumatic systems in several industrial applications. They solely depend on the force gotten from compressed air to transmit power effectively.

There are several types of pneumatic valves. In this article, we will discuss extensively on the types of pneumatic valves and how they can operate to the best ability.

Pneumatic Valves- The various Types.

· Directional control valves (Two-Way)

The two-way directional valve is a unique type of pneumatic control valve where the air passes through two directions and two ports. These two ports may be either open or closed. When the ports are opened, air will be allowed to move from one port to the opposite.

Of these ports are closed, air will not be able to move from one port to the next location

· Pneumatic valves (Three-way)has

The unique thing about this three-way pneumatic valve is that it has 3 different ports. These ports helps to serve a different and unique purpose of each use. The actuator is connected to the valves through the first port. It can also be used to connect the valve to an entirely different equipment.

The 2nd port is usually connected to the point where there is airflow. Without the connection of this port, there would be no airflow in the main parts of the machine.

As for the 3rd port, it serves the role of an exhaust.

The way the operations work is that, when the first port and the second one are open, air would be able to flow freely throughout the valve. The actuators would be able to release its waste out of the exhaust when the first and third ports are open.

The unique thing about this three-way valves is that they are connected in cylinders to the actuators in the machine.

· Directional control Valves (Four-way)

Just like the two-way and the three-way pneumatic valves, the four-way pneumatic port has four unique ports. In this pneumatic valve, two of the ports are connected to the actuators in the machine, one of them is the exhaust path and one of them is the pressurized airflow canal.

In most scenarios, an additional port is added to the four-way valve to make it a five-way valve.

The main reason for this is to add a dual pressure.

In the four-way pneumatic valve, the addition valve could also serve as a secondary port for the exhaust. This also comes in handy to remove the excess fumes that may be present on the engine.

CONCLUSION.

In this article, we have discussed the three main types of pneumatic control valves and all their configurations. Most manufacturers often find it very difficult to get these pneumatic valves for their production processes. However, there are a lot of great vendors around that would give you the kind of results you require. Try Shanghai Datian Valve Pipe Engineering Today.
